The Apocalypse of St. John (Renovate To Disintegrate Mix)

Stigmata Diabolic

With a sense of the inevitable
I withdrew the blade from my side
Rapt with the simple elegance
Of the words spilling from me

Long have I bled for you
Most unwilling audience
Railed against your woes
Heaping scorn on your tantrums
You dwindle in numbers
Until I need a micrometer
To measure your presence

And here I am
Replete in my solitude
Wrestling with the thoughts
That bleeding always brings
Laid low by my anaemia
That torrent of bleeding
Unleashed by revolving doors
Wondering what it is you see
As you taste this blood
This unfettered goulash of verisimilitude
Camouflaging a deeper veritas
Ennobling those with eyes to see

Is it that you are blind
Weened too long on the breast
Of Idol this and Reality that
Or perhaps it is simple ineptitude
Which allows you to see these words
The corpuscles of thought
As nothing more than the ravings of a lunatic

Enamoured by the popularists
You shall pigeon hole me as “Dark”
Ignoring all contrary evidence

And I shall slake my thirst
Bleeding words full of scorn

I tried a goulash of verisimilitude once -- not enough spice.  I enjoy lunatic ravings though.  Incidentally, how dark IS a pigeon's hole?

Unfortunately we're always going to be listening to ourselves much more than anyone else -- which is fine for those of us with something interesting to talk about, but for the vapid plastic masses the conversation level is never going to rise above who's getting voted out of what show for sticking what in whose orifice.  They're not even interesting enough to find veritas in vino anymore -- can't slam it down quickly and it just doesn't match flavour with a Big Mac.

Couple of quick fixes -- it's micrometer -- you need a meter to measure the measurement metre   Also, weaned.  If it was mine I'd either get rid of some bleeding or really push it -- as is it's kind of half way and runs the risk of seeming like you just couldn't think of any other word to use.

Being a poet is crap, isn't it?

he he, thanks as always Leanne. Your comments shall be taken on board and I'll see what I decide to do.

As for the blood, well, blood/word are interchangeable to me, does that make difference do you think?

Anyhoo, I'll ponder your, as usual, erudite hints.

Metre....hmmmm......2' 6 ", ..... How the hell do I get that into it? lol

Hmmm spelling. You are of course right with micrometer. Funny really, I spell it the American way and a bloody skip corrects me!!! lol

With reference to "weened", another of my little word plays. as in,

"Is it that you are blind

THINKING too long on the breast "

:P

yes, I am annoying Leanne, but I have lot's of practice at it! lol

^^; truth be told, I actually had to look up verisimilitude in a dictionary, I feel so ashamed :

Don't be Ziggy, I tried to find some hard facts proving the existance of ANY type of supreme being and fell short, how embarrassing is that?

Isnt that like trying to find the colour of a sound?
Mosquitobyte on Aug. 24 2008 edit · delete

Not at all, we have proof of colour and sound at least.

:P

ZiGGY on Aug. 24 2008 edit · delete

yes, but colour and sound cant really be documented in terms of the other    there is no colour that proves sound, and no sound that proves colour? o.o

Mosquitobyte on Aug. 24 2008 edit · delete

and nothing at all to prove the existance of supreme beings. So colour and sound are at least part of a factual world. God is just a delusion.

Those who experience the delights of synaesthesia are convinced that God is a tangerine in A minor.

An excellent witness response Aphaisic. Prosecution rests. Your witness Ziggy.
