Odd Glitch Adding Sections

I went to add a new section for someone and i found I couldn't edit or add sections in certain areas. Also, I learned that i can't send someone messages throught he site - the private messaging is being weird. I'm not sure why yet.

After some research, I discovered that if one locks a section, to edit it now, one has to go all the way to the bottom of the page and click 'unlock' -- it's small and not easy to fine, but once one does that everything is simple from there.

I no longer have the abaility to do stuff in my personal space (add page - - upload image - edit etc). I remember seeing a post somewhere saying 'Don't worry - the facilities are still there, but they've moved over to the right', or some similar reassuring message. No reassurance here - there's nothing to the right, left, top, bottom, hidden dimension or parallel universe...

Bizarre - I've just seen off the last stage of the Dauphiné Libéré, and all my tools have reappeared. Thank you Anstey, or God - I really can't differentiate between the two.
