Shakespeare’s Monkey Revue is an international literary journal devoted to publishing contemporary, exciting and innovative short-genre writing and artwork.

Our goal is to uncover new and emerging writers as well as supporting those already established in the craft. Experimental and cross-genre/ fusion works are welcome, as are traditional or established formats.

WIN CASH PRIZES FOR YOUR POETRY AND HAVE YOUR POEM PUBLISHED!

Shakespeare’s Monkeys continues to seek out the best poem of the year and it might be yours!

The Simian Contest runs April 1, 2010 to May 10, 2010.  Entries must received on or before the deadline to be considered for the current contest. Our judges will select a poem from the entries; that poem wins $125 USD and is published in Shakespeare’s Monkey Revue.

The three top prizes are as follows:

1st Place $125
2nd Place
$50
3rd Place
$25

There are no limits on theme or form (40 lines or less per poem). The most important aspects of all entries is originality and artistic merit. There is a $5 entry fee to submit up to 3 poems. See the Simian Contest Rules for details
